Their Welfare is
in Our Hands
The Animal
Assistance League
routinely takes care of about 200 wonderful,
little, cats and dogs, both in the Animal
Assistance League kennel
and in their various foster homes around Orange
County.
In addition to
caring for their own animals, the Animal
Assistance League has also
financially taken care of countless other animals in the
Southern California basin. Through their
Humane Animal Education Center and their
numerous Animal Health Care Programs, the Animal
Assistance League has been a life saver for many
families in need. When funds have been available, the
Animal Assistance League has helped to fund various emergency
animal medical
procedures. The Animal Assistance League
has provided food for animals in stressful
situations and local, low-cost, spay and neuter
referrals, for families and individuals with
animals and extreme financial
issues.
The Animal Assistance
League of Orange County, is an all volunteer
organization. While the Animal Assistance
League does have a small
number of paid staff members, who take care of
the kennel animals 24/7, the vast majority of
the Animal Assistance League members are simple
but very passionate volunteers. These
Animal Assistance League volunteers play with,
groom, exercise, feed, socialize, hug and kiss
their kennel "Best Friends" on a daily basis.
While most of
the Animal Assistance League animals are healthy and can fend for
themselves, some cannot. Some of the
little cats and dogs are survivors of traffic
accidents, surgical events or abusive homes.
Some of the Animal Assistance League cats and dogs have a few,
simple, medical issues while others have some
extreme medical situations that require
around-the-clock supervision by highly trained
staff members. The worst medical cases
actually live with some of the the Animal
Assistance League
volunteers, in their private homes, where they
can be fostered, appreciated and loved until
they are healthy, again.
The volunteers
at the Animal Assistance League willingly
give up a large part of their lives and the
lives of their families, to help the animals at
the Animal Assistance League no kill shelter and
rescue.
The AALOC
continues to host and participate in a variety of Special Events, throughout
the year, to help fund their various spay &
neuter, education,
food, adoption and medical aid programs.
Please contact
them directly, (www.aaloc.org
) , if you would like to make a
tax-deductible donation of cash, service or
products. Or give me a call or email and I
can refer you to the right people.
The Animal
Assistance League needs more volunteers.
They could really use your time and talents.
Call me and I will "hook you up".
