The best cameras produce the best results

Always have.  Always will.

I use Hasselblad H1 cameras

These are the best and the most expensive, medium format, high definition digital cameras... in the world.

My reliable, professional, medium format  Hasselblad cameras produce the sharpest possible, high definition photos, with rich, vibrant colors.

These are high definition cameras.  These are the same cameras used by   NASA   in outer space.

I also use the medium format Noblex Panoramic camera.

This medium format panoramic camera produces huge, sharp, colorful, beautiful 150 degree panoramic pictures with no distortion and high definition details like you have never seen before.

My Wedding, Bar Mitzvah,  Bat Mitzvah, Debutante Ball, Senior Presentation, Private Party and Corporate Special Event pictures are actually recorded by the incredible Phase One, 22, 39 and 60 million pixel digital recorders, on my legendary Hasselblad cameras.

I don't use any little, consumer-grade, 35mm cameras because they produce lower quality pictures.  Some of those inexpensive 35mm digital cameras only have 4 or 6 million pixels, only shoot highly compressed JPEG files and will never record as many colors or fine details as will my Phase One digital systems.

Every picture ever taken with a little 35mm camera would have looked better if it had been taken with a Hasselblad, regardless of who actually took the picture or what 35mm camera was used.

My industrial-grade Hasselblad H1 cameras use 22, 39 and 60 million pixels to record sharp, high definition, vivid pictures.  My cameras record 16 colors for every one color recorded by the little 35mm digital cameras.

That is high definition.

That is why my RAW files are so large.

That is why my pictures look so good.

That is why I have been hired to do so many events.

My families and my commercial clients get the most... for the least.

I'm available for your Destination Event

My professional photography services are available nation wide.

I charge the same low rates no matter where I work.

Just get me there and back.

Depending on the location, I will buy my own room for the event.  I may not even need a car.  Food is always on me.

I always arrive a day or two ahead of schedule, at NO EXTRA COST.

That helps me to get acclimated to the location and it gives me time to shoot some very unique images of the location atmosphere.

That helps me tell a complete visual story.

I have worked all across the country, from New York to Hawaii and Minnesota to Cancun.  My prices are the same regardless of where I work.

However, my primary region is all of Northern California and Southern California, including Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, The Inland Empire, San Bernardino County and Riverside County.

You'll get the best... for less

The lowest costs, the sharpest pictures, the best colors and the highest possible resolutions

I deliver on time and on budget,

 guaranteed

Just give me a call or drop me an e-mail.

I would love to speak with you.

Then, when you have a moment, I would love to meet with you.

Relax.  I will come to you.

Any time and any place.  I have met with my families in their homes, in Hotel lobbies, at their reception venues and in their offices.  There will be no pressure and no obligation.

I will bring my camera gear, albums, hundreds of large pictures and your planning packet.  This will not be a "sales" meeting.  Rather, it will simply be a chance for me to casually meet with you and your family, to discuss the photographic potentials for your event.

When you get ready to book my services, I will need a simple $100.00 deposit to hold your date.  The rest will be due by the end of your event.

If it is easier for you, we can build an installment program for your payments.

I accept Checks, Cash and Visa, MasterCard or Discover Credit Cards.

I don't take credit cards over the NET.

Your decision may come down to a matter of a tight budget

That is not a problem.

First.

Set your event date and establish your Photography Budget.

I will need to  know who you are, what you will want to spend, what you will want to achieve, how much time you will need, where your event will take place, what your schedule will be, how many guests you will be entertaining and what types of activities will be included.

I will be your employee.

You will be my boss.

This will be a visual partnership.

We will be working together to quickly produce hundreds or thousands of sharp, clear, vibrant, colorful pictures.

Next.

Compare and talk with two or three other event photographers.  Get their "lingo" down.  Become familiar with their "Packages".  Ask the tough questions.  Make sure that you understand what you will be paying for.

Simply go through my whole site and write down what I give to you as part of my normal services.

Then, ask your other photographers if they would do the same and how much would it cost.

Then, call me.

No problem.  No pressure.

If you love my professional work, my can-do attitude, my industrial-strength equipment and my low, hourly prices, you will really have very few decisions to make.

I have yet to come across a written bid that I could not beat.

I have no competition.

None.

I have never turned down an assignment, regardless of the budget.  I can usually work with any budget.

If you are Active Military, I will give you a 50% discount as my gift to you.

Please.

Take your time to service compare costs, re-print prices, equipment, services, experiences, ethics and the quality of the work to be received.

See. No comparison.

I want to work for you and your family

All of the wonderful cats and dogs that are pictured on my site are from the Animal Assistance League of Orange County.

(   www.aaloc.com   )

These cats and dogs are all available for adoption.

I am a proud volunteer and Board member for the Animal Assistance League of Orange County.

AALOC is the oldest and the largest, non-profit (501 3c), no kill animal shelter and rescue in all of Orange County.  We routinely take care of about 200 cats and dogs, both in our kennel and in various foster homes and facilities across the Southland.  Some of our little guests have been with us for more than 15 years.

We are always 100% full and 100% broke.

When we adopt one of our "kids" out, we immediately go to the shelter to find another wonderful little dog or cat that has mere moments left to live.  In addition to our rescue and shelter, we provide a wide range of pet health services, vet payment programs, referral services, pet education, micro chip and low-cost spay & neuter programs for families in need.

We could do more if we had more money and more volunteers.

If you have room in your home or your heart, all of our little guests could use a warm couch, a nice meal and a few moments in your arms.

We can always use more volunteers, more kisses and, of course,  donations of any size.  We would love to put you on our mailing list, to keep you up to speed on our activities and successes.

(   www.aaloc.com   )

I am able to shoot and print your pictures on site.

I can use my 22, 39 an 60 million pixel Hasselblad H1 camera systems, along with my 3 Kodak, 8660, Dye Sub printers, to produce the highest quality, sharp, vibrant, beautifully colored, high definition photographic prints, right at your event.

This is not a "Photo Booth".

This is professional photography, done on location, using all of the typical professional lighting techniques usually found only in the high-end studios.

I use high power studio strobes, soft-box light modifiers, posing stools, fans, environmental backgrounds, umbrellas, scrims, reflectors, tripods and painted fabric backgrounds.

This is not something that I can do by myself.  It requires at least one if not two additional professional assistants to complete these location print assignments.

I do the photos while my assistants run the custom tower computer and print finishing stations.  The computer does the print prep, Photoshop and image sizing.

All prints are inserted into heavy, black, gray or brown Winslow mats before being displayed for pickup.

These heavy Winslow brand photo mats will stand up on their own.  The will not flex, bend or "wimp out" on your desk or shelf.  These are not cheap, "Prom Photo" type frames.  They have a fluted, wavy cut edge and a slight pebble texture across their surface.  Inside, the prints are framed with thin gold or silver colored key lines, for that professional, finished look.

These Winslow mats can be pre-ordered and stamped with company logos and party names, in brilliant gold, silver, red or blue foils.  Special foils can be ordered, if there is time.

If there are too many guests to shoot in a specific time frame, I will need to multiply the shooters, computers and assistants to meet the needs of the event.

We are location portable.  We can work indoors or out, anywhere in the nation.

At golf matches or sporting events, we need to locate our printers inside of our custom transparent tent, to reduce the effect of the wind and dust on the prints.  Wind cools the super-heated printers, during their dye-sublimation printing process.  That affects the way that the colors are heat-transferred to the papers.  Dust makes little white specs on the prints.

I can shoot with my own studio drapery backgrounds or with anything supplied, such as Hollywood VIP's or look-alikes, athletic VIP's, Theme Park Mascots, Corporate CEO's, architectural structures or scenic backgrounds, such as the Hawaiian coast, the cruise ship pool, special Formula One race cars or the actual golf course.

Once the images have been shot, it takes only a few moments to convert the original RAW files into 300dpi TIFF files.  In some cases, your guests can choose their own best shots.  All images are numbered by the cameras.

Once converted to 300dpi TIFF files, we Photoshop and sharpen every single picture.  We can remove wrinkles, adjust clothing issues, open eyes, remove braces or exchange heads.

Then, the prints will be sent to our huge, professional, Kodak 8660 dye-sub printers.  Each picture will take about 2 minutes to be printed.

Our prints are ready for handling right out of the Kodak dye-sub printers.  We will cut and frame them as needed before they will be  displayed for your guests to pickup, before they leave your event.

Our dye sub printers can print 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 images.

Since these images are shot with the Hasselblad H1 digital camera system, the images can also be printed at normal photo labs, at a later time, up to 48"x96", with the same amount of high definition, color and resolution.

This location photography and printing service is manpower intensive.  It can't be done by one person.

We charge a flat fee of around $2,500.00, plus expenses, to set up and to shoot.  Variables will exist due to the location, event, schedule, number of guests, number of required shooters or "back-end" crew.

I can build a project specific proposal, based on your budget and event.  I will beat any "deal" you might already have.

The prices for your prints will be the same as for my    normal lab prints.

The prices for the Winslow folders will depend on the sizes used and on any embossing or pre-print process needed.  The folders start at $1.00 each for 5x7 sized folders.

Special programs can be bid for fund raisers, cruises, destination events, car races and Holiday events, such as Christmas, Easter and Halloween.

We can provide Santas, from special Santa companies.  These Santas have natural beards, not fake hair.  They have been cleared by the police and are professionals in their demeanor, conversation and attitude.

You can feel comfortable using our professional Santas around children as well as with adults.  These Santas are paid as extras and would need to be bid along with any other Hollywood look-alike, Theme Park mascot or cartoon character, such as Bunnies or Goblins, etc.

Special "Adults Only" personalities can also be arranged, for those special parties.  These can be male, female or both.

Let me know what you are thinking so that I can bid on the project.

The most important moment in your life

will only happen once

I am not a "typical" wedding photographer

For more than 36 years, I have proudly provided low cost, nation wide,  High Definition,  digital, 22,  39 and, now, 60 million pixel, medium and large format, professional photography services to a broad spectrum of governmental entities, professional clients, national corporations, non-profit organizations, ad agencies, small businesses and thousands of private families.

I am honored to offer this wide range of professional services to my families;

Aerial Photography, Legal Photography, Medical Photography, Industrial Photography, Commercial Photography, Advertising Photography, Food Photography, Architectural Photography, Product Photography, Construction Photography, Scientific Photography, Public Relations Photography, Political Photography and Special Events Photography services.

I have personally photographed more than 4,500 Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, Weddings, Debutante Balls, Quinceaneras, Senior Presentations, Private Parties and huge Corporate Special Events.

My life philosophy is simple

I totally enjoy the adventure of making pictures.

Every time I go out on an assignment, it is a whole new experience.  Every time I shoot, I am focused on my mandate to help my families enjoy their event and to record every moment.  My "job" is to make beautiful, meaningful, exciting pictures that will tell the whole story, for every one of my families.

Often, nothing at these family events can be repeated or "done over".  I have to get it right the first time, regardless.

My families come to me for help.

I have dedicated my life to this endless, artistic, emotional adventure.

I don't just "take" pictures.

Rather, I am single-mindedly obsessive about the entire process of "making" pictures.  This is not easy.  It involves a huge investment in equipment, time and energy.  It requires a complete dedication to the art of visual story telling and it is ever changing.

And, it is all over in a fraction of a second.

This is deeply personal.  It is all up to me.  I get out of it what I put into it.  So do my families.  My families get to enjoy the results of my extra efforts.   That is my pleasure.

I am in an endless search for the very soul of everyone and everything I shoot.

Sometimes, I find it.

I am a romantic at heart.

I love working with adults and children.

I enjoy shooting controlled classic poses, candid natural behaviors, pictures with a heart-felt meaning, close up details and a visually complete story.

I let my people do what they want to do.  I let them be themselves.  Then, I just "polish the pieces" a bit.

Perfection, every time.

My pictures are different because I let people be themselves.  With my help and constant guidance, you and your family will always look your best.

I can make any event spectacular.

Your pictures will be done within a week of your event.

I appreciate the fact that my families and clients expect professional results even when they have a small budget.

I understand that it is my responsibility to produce beautiful, sharp, wonderfully composed pictures within the time and budgets allowed.

I know that I will not have a second chance.

I will produce high definition pictures with more details, more meaning and with colors beyond your wildest dreams... just for you.

I will use my 22, 39 or 60 million pixel, medium format, Hasselblad H1 digital cameras.  These are the best, most expensive cameras in the world.  These industrial-strength, professional cameras reliably produce huge, sharp, crisp, vibrantly colored, wonderful, high definition pictures every time.

I can shoot high definition film or digital pictures with the same cameras.

However, my 22, 39 and 60 million pixel digital systems produce pictures with more refined sharpness, better colors, no textures and at a lower cost than any film ever made.

My High Definition Hasselblad H1 and Phase One digital system produces better colors, sharper edge details, fewer textures, faster results and for less money than any High Definition film.

I no longer recommend using film.

All digital cameras will record their original digital pictures as complex, digital, computer information.   This complex computer information has to be saved in a file.

There are two types of files... JPEG and RAW.

JPEG photo files are tiny.  JPEG photo files are highly compressed.  JPEG photo files change every time that you open and close them.  JPEG photo files produce the poorest possible picture quality.

RAW photo files are huge.

RAW photo files contain all of the original complex computer information.

RAW photo files need to be converted into TIFF photo files and JPEG photo files before anything can be done with the digital picture information.  You can't print from a RAW photo file.

I shoot 25mb, 45mb and 65mb RAW photo files ONLY.

These are huge files, especially when they are compared to the little 2mb or 4mb JPEG files shot by many 35mm digital cameras.

I would never even think about shooting an event with little, tiny, highly compressed, relatively worthless JPEGs photo files.

If a picture starts out as a lower quality JPEG file, it can never become a higher quality TIFF file.

If the best possible picture data is not recorded by the camera, in the original exposure, it can never be printed in your final pictures.

My huge, High Definition, 25mb, 45mb and 65mb RAW photo files contain 8 or 10 times as much information as do the little 2mb or 6mb JPEG original photo files, shot by the little 35mm digital cameras.

You'll own whatever I shoot for you

I will charge $150.00/hour, plus your pre-approved material costs and any expenses.   I will do as much or as little as you wish.

There is a 1-hour minimum.  After that, your time will be billed per quarter-hour.  There is no maximum.  I have done 1 and 2-hour events as well as weddings that have lasted for months, using more than 60 hours of time.

I will shoot from 100 to 200 High Definition, 300dpi, digital pictures PER HOUR.

I can shoot either film or digital pictures.  However, I no longer recommend medium format films.  My High Definition, Phase One digital recorders have the resolutions of up to 8x10 film.

My Low Cost, High Definition Digital Bar Mitzvah photos are simply better looking than images made from film.

I will shoot 25mb, 45mb or 65mb RAW files ONLY.

You will own everything that I shoot at your event and you can have me provide you with High Definition, 300dpi  RAW, JPEG and TIFF files of any size.  I can put your Low Cost, High Definition, photo files on disc or onto your provided USB2 External Hard Drive.

You can process some or all of your own Low Cost, High Definition RAW image files or I can do it all for you.

I will give you processed files of any type, size and resolution that you wish.  I will give you 48"x96" files if you need them.

You can do your own lab work or I can provide those High Definition, professional photo lab services for you.

Unless you are looking for an art print, inkjet or pigment printed on a charcoal paper or canvas, I would never recommend using inexpensive and lower quality inkjet or pigment printers for your final prints.  They will quickly fade and their colors will be flat, muddy, spotty and "un-natural".

You will receive true, Fuji, Crystal Archive, fully Photoshopped, luster-surfaced, 300dpi, sRGB, TIFF file-sourced prints ONLY.

I can provide you with Bar Mitzvah albums of any kind, from any manufacturer in the world.  I can personally help you design and produce your Bar Mitzvah album or you can do it all yourself.

You have 3 essential price options

I charge $150.00 per hour to shoot

I charge $100.00 per hour to edit

I charge $15.00 per disc to store

I charge $35.00 per hour to drive or to manage the job

I charge per print ordered

"Tech Only" Services

I will shoot your low cost, High Definition photos as huge, 25mb High Definition RAW files and copy them to disc or to your provided USB2 external hard drive.  No Phase One, Capture One Pro Post Production or Photoshop services will be provided.  You will need to convert and process your original, complex, Phase One, High Definition RAW files yourselves.

No prints are included with this program.

I will only charge you for your actual photo services, your pre-approved material costs, any expenses, $15.00/each for your DVD's and any shipping or delivery costs.  I charge $100.00 per hour to manage/transfer RAW files directly to your provided Hard Drives.  The actual amount of time needed will depend on each job.

"Tech Plus" Services

I will shoot your low cost, High Definition photos as huge, 25mb, High Definition RAW files and copy them to disc or to your provided USB2 external hard drive.

Then, using Phase One, Capture One Pro, I will convert your original, 25mb, complex RAW files into beautiful, sharp 300dpi, sRGB, 4"x5" TIFF files.

You will receive all of your converted 4"x5", 300dpi, TIFF files.  You can do anything you wish with those files.  You can email them, use them on your own web pages, print them or manipulate them at will.

You can also have the original, 25mb RAW files, if you want them.

Photoshop services and prints are not normally provided with this simple "Tech Plus" program.  They can be added to the program but will need to be charged for as necessary.

I will charge you $150.00/hr. for your actual Special Event  photo services plus any pre-approved material costs and any shooting expenses.

Then, I will charge you an extra, flat, fee of $300.00, plus $15.00/each DVD disc costs, to cover my Phase One, Capture One Pro, High Definition RAW file conversion services time.

Your original RAW files will be converted into High Definition, numbered, 300dpi, 4"x5" TIFF files.  You will receive all of those numbered, converted, 300dpi, 4x5 TIFF files.

To help reduce your costs to a minimum, I will not Photoshop these 4"x5" TIFF files and they will not be printed before you receive them.

If you want prints, you can make your own.  That will save you money.  You can take your 300dpi 4"x5" TIFF files to my recommended professional photo lab or to any discount vendor of your own choice.

You can have all of your original RAW files (if you want them) and all of the numbered, processed but un-Photoshopped, 4"x5", 300dpi TIFF files.

I will charge you $15.00 per 4.5GB DVD disc holding your 4"x5" TIFF files and RAW files.  The more files you get, the more discs will be necessary.

You will be able to print your own, sharp, 4"x5", professional Proof Prints, directly from your un-Photoshopped, 300dpi, 4"x5" TIFF files, saving you money.

You can use any pro lab or discount vendor you wish.  But, I highly recommend using my local pro lab, AV Partners.

However, if you want for me to Photoshop your files, it will be my honor.

I will need to charge an extra $100.00 per hour for my additional, creative, professional, Photoshop services.  Your original RAW files can then be processed to any print size, up to 48"x96".   Your 4.5GB DVD disc costs and any shipping costs will be additional charges.

How much this all costs will depend on the size and scope of your event and what kind of Photoshop services are requested and approved.

It may be easier for you to simply set a budget ceiling for this extra Photoshop Post-production work and I will just work within that not-to-exceed budget.

You will receive all of the Photoshopped files, at any size or resolution you wish.

If you want prints, you can make your own or I can do that for you.  My print prices are noted on the "Price" page.

. I can process your original, low cost, High Definition, 25mb Phase One RAW picture files to any file size, any file type and any resolution you wish, from 72dpi to 600dpi and up to 48"x96".

. You can do all of your own RAW file conversions and Photoshop post production work or I can provide all of those services for you.

I will charge a "Flat Rate" of $300.00 for the Basic Photoshop program and $100.00/hour for the enhanced Photoshop program.

. You can do all of your own professional photography lab work, at any professional lab in the country or I can provide all of those services for you.

. You can design and produce your own album(s) or, with your active creative guidance, I can provide those complete album design and production services for you.

. You will decide, for yourselves, which pictures to use in your album, where to use them, how to use them and, with my help, what to do with them on each page.

Your album will be YOUR album

Any album, any size, any shape, any color, from any manufacturer in the world, at wholesale prices plus any shipping and personal design costs.

. Your finished files can be transferred to $15.00/each, 4.5GB DVD discs or directly to your supplied external, USB2, 1TB Hard Drive.  I highly recommend Western Digital drives.

I shoot from 100-200 beautifully composed, sharp, vibrantly colored, wonderfully lit, high definition pictures... per hour.

I shoot people, architectures, food, activities, group poses, ceremonies, cakes, etc.  If you want it, I'll be happy to shoot it.

No one else works for me.

When you book me, you get me.

I do all of my own digital photography, RAW file conversions, creative post-production processing, Photoshop edits and album designs.

All of my amazing photographic pictures are printed at my fantastic, local, professional photographic lab.

I don't do lower quality inkjet or pigment prints because they are not continuous tone.   They have tiny spots and they can't re-create all of the possible colors found in a basic, truly photographic print.

I would never even consider using any of the discount warehouse stores, grocery stores, drug stores or "big box" warehouse stores to do my printing.  Typically, they do not produce reliable, professional results.  Many of them actually use a very thin photographic paper for their 15-cent prints.

For me, that is not good enough.

In a pinch, you can use them for your own family stuff.

But, for a professional business, I would never consider them to be a viable resource.  My pro photo lab will out-produce the discount houses every time.  The pro lab only charges about 30 cents for a 4x5 print.

As is always the case, I would prefer to pay more if I can get more.

You can use my pro photo lab or any lab you wish, if you are going to print your own pictures.

You do not need to buy an album from me.

However, if you want an album, you may choose any album, any size, any shape, any color, any style from any album manufacturer in the world... at wholesale prices, plus acquisition and shipping costs.

You will have no limits.

You can design and produce your own albums.   However, if you would like my help, I can bring my desktop computer to your home or office and we can design your album, from scratch, together.

I don't have any complex, hard-to-understand or expensive packages.

Instead, I will charge you a simple, flat rate of $150.00 per hour, to shoot your event, plus expenses.

I have a 1-hour minimum but no maximums.  I can shoot for 80 hours, if you wish.

In fact, you can have me do as much or as little as you wish.

You can even do some of the work yourselves, if you have the time, the skills and the equipment necessary.

You will  have fun and save a lot of money in the process.

The vast majority of my families do some of the work themselves.

I have done this for the last 36 years.

I enjoy working with my families, on a very personal, one-to-one basis.  When I make my pictures, I am looking for the soul of everyone I am shooting.

I shoot regular people.  This is all just simple theater.  The more enthusiasm that you bring to the party, the better you will look in the shots.

This will all depend on you.  I can't shoot something that isn't there.

Drama.  Romance.  Attitude.  Personality.  Self.  Enthusiasm.  Love. Appreciation.  Energy.  Spirit.  Zest.

You will be working for yourselves.  This will be theater.  You can be as dramatic and off-the-hook as you wish.

Take the time to take the shots.

I can't possibly give you a blanket "Package" proposal.

As your "Project Manager",  I don't know who you are, what you will want to spend, what you will want to achieve, how much time you will need, where your event will take place, what your schedule will be, how many guests you will be entertaining and what types of activities will be included.

Those questions will be my performance goals.

Let's answer these questions first.

Then, I would be pleased to provide you with your own personal proposal, tailored exactly to your budget and your event.

I can work with almost any budget, anywhere in the country.

You can have me shoot as much or as little as you wish.

You can buy as many or as few pictures as you wish.

Your files will be delivered to you within a week of your event.

You can have any album you wish.

You can have all of the original and the processed files, at any size and resolution that you wish.

You can print beautiful, high definition pictures to any size you wish.

You will have no limits.

I will produce big, beautiful, sharp, crisp, vibrantly colored, high definition pictures of people having fun, at your event.

If you are Active Military, I will shoot your event at a 50% Discount.

Depending on how much time you buy, I will offer you     thousands of dollars worth of FREE services,   fantastic helicopter rides, candle-lit dinners and big, beautiful pictures.
